Founded in 2005, SMAC is born from the desire to stop the declining interest of young people for science in general. SMAC's mission is therefore to get children and adults alike to reconnect with math and science. We want them to realize that math and science can be fun. Our niche is learning while playing. Activities offered include plays, Showmath, an educational show about mathematics for young people, ExploMath, workshops offered in the classroom, and the multimedia game MathAmaze.

Science and Mathematics in ActionThe Sherbrooke Math Circle invites high school students to weekly meetings.

Participants solve problems, work on puzzles and learn through games. Our goal is not to teach mathematics, but to stimulate curiousity and independant thought. This short video gives more information on the circle.

Sherbrooke Math CircleThis math camp for cegep students is sponsored by the Association mathématique du Québec (AMQ) and by the Canadian Mathematical Society with the goal of enabling mathematically talented students to discover the beauty of mathematics, their creative power and numerous applications. The campers have the chance to meet mathematical researchers as well as fellow cegep students from around the province who share their love of mathematics.

**The 2017 AMQ camp will be held at the University of Montreal from May 28 to June 3, 2017, from Sunday evening to Saturday afternoon. The campers will be housed in the student residences at the University of Montreal.**

Every summer since 1980, more than 20 cegep students who have performed exceptionally on the AMQ cegep competition and who have demonstrated their enthusiasm for mathematics are invited to spend a week on a university campus. The daily activities are animated by pure and applied mathematical researchers.
